Haiku

Home Up

Some of these haiku are from life experiences or describe nature scenes.  Some of them are about images that come to mind or are from pictures. Some of them are about feelings inside me.

And some are dedicated to friends.

I hope you enjoy them and I hope it inspires you to write your own.

Haiku
By Bob

Fly through images
   Paint your thoughts with poetry
Teach all in color

Wish I could see you
I know you are there, somewhere
busy, busy bee

What is best to do?
  Friend is there any other?
Sing, Sing, Sing Gladness!!

Distress Call Haiku
Seemingly endless,
Pain and discomfort, no move
Till dawn –cold muscles

When I worked further with this Haiku it transformed into more of a tribute to others than a
complaint on my condition…see Still a Tribute to 9/11

Concert Haiku
(for the Quilt)

Life celebration
Cheers and deep blue surrounding
Music, friends, striving

Sifting through the leaves
Pealing bark on the soggy branch
Sunrise, cool morn dew

Geese form their V-shape
Afterwards the air is clean
Across the blowing bridge
